Is the certificate really free?
Yes. Anyone with an account can generate and download a name certificate at no cost.
What happens if I cancel Premium?
You keep access until the end of your billing period, then your account drops back to Free with the 1-tree limit. Your existing trees are preserved — only new tree creation stops.
Why are ads always shown, even on Premium?
Ads cover the database hosting and parsing infrastructure. Premium pays for the family-tree features specifically — server costs are still real, so a small ad strip keeps the project sustainable.
Does my donation tier change if I donate again later?
Yes — your badge always reflects your highest cumulative donation. A second donation that pushes you over a threshold instantly upgrades the badge.
