Sukarno

Sukarno (born Koesno Sosrodihardjo; 6 June 1901 – 21 June 1970) was the first president of Indonesia, serving from 1945 to 1967. His given name, Sukarno, is of Javanese origin and is derived from the Sanskrit prefix सु (su) meaning "good" combined with the name of the mythological hero Karna from the Hindu epic Mahabharata.
