Pridon is the Georgian form of Fereydoun. It appears in the 12th-century Georgian epic poem The Knight in the Panther's Skin, in which Pridon (fully Nuradin-Pridon) is a friend of Avtandil and Tariel.
Etymology
Pridon derives from 𐬚𐬭𐬀𐬉𐬙𐬀𐬊𐬥𐬀 (Thraētaona), the Avestan form meaning "the third". In the 10th-century Persian epic the Shahnameh, Fereydoun is a virtuous king who ruled for 500 years.
