Frigidianus

Frigidianus is a Medieval Latin name, the original form of Frediano. It derives from Latin frigidus meaning "cold," likely a descriptive nickname. The name is most famously associated with a 6th-century Irish bishop, Saint Frigidianus (also known as Frediano), who journeyed to Rome on pilgrimage and later lived as a hermit on Mount Pisano, becoming the patron saint of Lucca, Italy.
