Dae-jung

Dae-jung is a Korean masculine given name typically composed of the hanja characters 大 (dae), meaning "big, great, vast, large, high," and 中 (jung), meaning "middle." However, other hanja combinations can also form this name, as is common in Korean naming conventions. The name gained international prominence through Kim Dae-jung (1924–2009), the eighth president of South Korea, who served from 1998 to 2003.
