Amaka

Amaka is a feminine Igbo given name, often used as a short form of Chiamaka. While Chiamaka means "God is beautiful" (from Chi "God" and amaka "beautiful"), Amaka on its own serves as a predicative adjective meaning "beautiful," as in the phrase Igbo amaka ("Igbo is beautiful"). However, the general Igbo words for beauty are ọma and mma.
