Meaning & Origin
Rida is an Arabic name (Arabic: رضا, romanized: Riḍā) meaning "satisfaction, contentment" or "the fact of being pleased or contented; approval". It derives from the Arabic root riḍan (رِضًا), and theologian Annemarie Schimmel noted its close conceptual link to shukr (thankfulness and gratitude). The name is considered gender-neutral in the Arab world and is used across religious communities, including Arab Christians and Arab Druze.
